We own a Burley Solo and the seat was used in the Solo.First, there is some debate as to whether or not this can be used while biking & skiing vs. just strolling or jogging. The Burley website contradicts itself on this issue as well. As an example, if you go to this link: (...) the user manual says for use with kids 3-12 months and no jogging. However, the manual included with the seat says 6-24 months and "consult a pediatrician to determine if a child is of sufficient developmental age to be carried in a bicycle trailer." It looks like there are some model year compatibilities listed, but no snuggler model numbers. The tag on the actual product I received says it can be used while jogging, strolling, or biking for kids aged 6-24 months. The main concern is whether or not your child is developmentally ready to sit in the trailer/jogger/stroller to be jostled... When you child is not big enough for the regular support system that comes with the trailer the snuggler is a must. It holds the baby tight and comfortable. I was hoping to get my 3 month old baby in (even though the manufactuers say 6mth+) but on testing the product, it's not worth the risk. The snuggler is only fitted via the existing straps. It's a booster seat, not an infant sling (such as made by croozer). |
